Maya's Grandparents from Finland are here! Mayan Mummo ja Ukki suomesta ovat taalla

Maya loves her Mummo (grandmother) and Ukki (grandfather) from Finland! They are playing with her and her Ukki is walking her around alot!

Maya rakastaa Oora- Mummoo ja Pertti Ukkia! He leikkivat paljon ja kavelyttaa Mayaa paljon! Ihanaa kun ovat kaymassa meilla!

Maya swam in a pool for the first time! Maya kavi uimassa uimaaltaassa ekaa kertaa!

Olimme viikonloppuna Weilerin perheen luonna uimassa heidan lammitetyssa uima altaassa. Maya tykkasi NIIN paljon olla uima altaassa! Mayan vaaleanpunaisessa asussa on 50 auringonsuojakerrosta.

Last weekend Maya swam in the Weiler's heated pool! It was her first time! She LOVED it and splashed all over! And, her pink outfit and hat have a 50 SPF...got to protect her white, white skin!

Ernesti pilkilla / Ernesti is ice fishing

Here is my cousin Ernesti ice fishing in the lake behind my grandparents' home, Komula, in Kuhmo. In the background you can see the new sauna that two of my uncles have built. I have the most wonderful memories from Komula and wish the same for Maya!

Maya 8 months old

Maya 8 months old

Maya is 8 months old today! Maya on 8kk vanha tanaan!

Today we ran our first 5K and in the new baby jogger! We ran with the Weilers...Thomas (5y) and Madeline (3y) both ran on and off and did a great job! We finished in around 32 minutes! Elvi-Mamma and Peter-Pappa walked the 1 mile walk. We were raising money for the new heart center in Stuart.
Maya is 8 months old today! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by!

Tanaan juostiin meidan ekan 5k juoksu ja myos uudessa juoksu rattaissa! Juostiin Welerin perheen kanssa. Thomas (5v) ja Madeline (3v) juoksivat osan myos. Juostiin sen 32 minutissa. Mamma ja Pappa kavelivat 1mailin. Se oli hyvantekevaisyys juoksu meidan alueen sydan osastolle sairalassa.

It was cold this morning! Tana aamuna oli viilea!

It was 50 degrees this morning when we went out the the Humane Society for Rex's agility run through!
Aamulla oli vaan +10C kun menimme Rekun agility katsomaan!

Maya got her 6th tooth! Mayalle tuli kuudes hammas!

Hei! Mayalle tuli kuudes hammas eilen! Eli 3 hammasta yhdeksassa paivassa...on tytolla ollut kiiretta...Ja lisaksi Maya eilen otti 3-4 askelta! Joskus vahan rauhellisemmin ja puoli-kontrollissa ja useammin niin kiireisena etta Elvi-Mamma sanoo etta on "drunken sailor" (humalassa oleva merimies?!?!?). Nyt kiiretta riittaa... Elvi-Mammalla on vapaa paivaa ja Maya menee sinne tanaan. Ihanaa uutisia: Mummo ja Ukki Kajaanista tulee 27.3 ja ovat kolme viikkoa!!

Hi! Maya got her 6th tooth yesterday! Three teeth in the past 9 days!! Busy baby girl! In addition to that, Maya took 3-4 steps yesterday..sometimes controlled and calmly, but mostly hurridly and out of control. Elvi-Mamma calls her a "drunken sailor!" Elvi-Mamma has a day off today and Maya will spend the day with her. Great news: Maya's grandparents from Finland are arriving on March 27th for three weeks!!

Maya is standing in her crib and bouncing up and down. She is pulling herself up to standing on all sorts of objects!

Moi! Huomasin eilen etta Mayalle tuli viides hammas! Se on nyt 2 hammasta yhdessa viikossa. Ei ole ihme etta tytto ei halunnut yolla nukkua... Mayan iska oli New York Cityssa Jutan kanssa ja heilla oli hauskaa!

Hi! I noticed yesterday that Maya got her 5th tooth! It's her 2nd one in one week! No wonder our little angel hadn't slept well! Maya's daddy was in New York City with Jutta and they had a great time!
