Judo
Maya has been in Judo class since the beginning of the fall. She really likes it and today she moved up from a white belt to a Junior Yellow Belt! Congrats Maya!
Mayalla on ollut Judossa koko syksyn. Han on nauttinut paljon! Maya paasi valkoisesta vuosta Juniori Keltaiseen vyohon. Onnea Maya!

Pihalla.. Outside..
The weather warmed up enough to finally snow!! It's been so cold and icy for the past 2 months. It's wonderful to have the snow. The kids got to play outside today in the snow for the first time in a long time!
Likka is learning a lot! She comes to us when we call her name. She can sit. She goes to her crate automatically when it's time to eat dinner. She is still in that awful bitey puppy phase. Drives me nuts! But otherwise she is doing well. Only a few potty accidents lately. Rex still is not in love with her... we are still hoping he will learn to like her once she calms down some..
Ilma lampeni sen verran etta lunta satoi vidhoin! On ollut erittain kylma ja jaista jo 2 kuukautta. Ihanaa kun on satanut lunta. Lapset paasivat pihalle leikkii lumessa ekaa kertaa pitkaan aikaan!
Likan kanssa menee hyvin. Se osaa istua kun kasketaan. Se tulee kun kutsutaan nimella. Se menee kennelliin kun kuullee ruuan kupissa. Menee hyvin paitsi se on viela siina puru koiranpentu vaiheessa ja joskus menee hermot!! Rekku ei viela hirveesti tykkaa Likasta mutta toivotaan etta kun Likka vahan rauhoittuu etta heista tulee viela kavereita...
Joulua odotellaan! Waiting for Christmas!
We set up Christmas at our house today! It was fun! The kids understand things differently this year. Ele keeps asking every day if it's Christmas yet!
Laitettiin Joulua tanaan meilla kotona! Oli hauskaa! Lapset ymmartaa ihan eri tavalla tana vuonna. Ele kysyy joka paiva milloin Joulu on.
Maya and Lego Robotics
Maya was one of 4 students from the 4 first grade classes chosen to be a part of Junior Lego Robotics at her elementary school this fall. It was an honor to be chosen to be a part of this! These four kids met at least once a week after school all fall and worked on their project. The theme was SUper Seniors. They asked questions of elders and found out how they could make something to make their lives easier. They decided on a car that had the prescription of the elder's glasses so if they forgot their glasses then they can still drive! Great idea! Here are pictures of their "Show Board" that they made themselves.
Maya oli yksi neljasta valittu neljasta eka luokista Lego Robotics joukueeseen hanen koululla. Oli kunnia paasta tahan joukueeseen! Tapasivat ainakin kerran viikossa koulun jalkeen ja tyoskentelivat. Teema oli "Super Seniors" ja miten he voivat auttaa vanhuksia joka paivasissa asioissa. Keksivat rakentaa semmoinen auto missa on silmalasin resepti tuulilasissa etta jos vanhus unohtaa lasinne he voivat kuitenkin ajaa autolla! Tassa kuvia heidan projektista!
