Elias started to take some steps on his own! Friday evening I saw him take two steps three different times and four steps once. Yesterday and today he has also been taking a few steps every once in a while... Elias on ottanut akeleita ihan ite! Perjantai iltana nain kun Elias otti 2 askelta kolme eri kertaa ja 4 askelta kerran. Eilen ja tanaan pikku mies on silloin talloin kavelyt!! we went ice skating this afternoon. Maya has such great balance! She was able to walk across the ice great all by herself!! ANd this is only her second time ice skating in her life! Kavimme tanaan luistelee takapihalla ja Mayalle meni NIIN hyvin! Neidilla on erittain hyva tasapaino ja pystyi ite kavelee jaata pitkin! Ja tama on Mayan toka kerta luistimilla!
The weather warmed to 0F and so I bundled up the kids and went outside! We were outside for about 1.5 hours. What a great time! Elias was in his sled for the first time today!
Lampesi ilmat -16C asteeseen ja mina puin lapset lampimasti ja menimme pihalle. Olimme pihalla varmaan 1.5 tuntia. Meilla on ollut niin kylmaa ettei olla oltu pihalla varmaan pari viikkoon. Elias oli pulkassa ekaa kertaa!
Elias is getting around so fast that we are barely keeping up! He doesn't like to eat babyfood anymore and would rather eat the same food that we are eating. He likes corn and peas, salmon, turkey, whole wheat pasta. All kinds of foods! He has discovered the stairs and is climbing them like a pro! We are having to put the baby gate at the base of the stairs. Elias LOVES to take a bath! Our little water baby purposely sticks his face under water and tries to drink the water!! Elias will be 10 months old on Wednesday. I can't believe that in 2 months he will be a year old!
Heips! Elias on niin kerkelias etta me ei pysyta perassa! Elias ei enaa halua purkkiruokia ja haluaa syoda ihan oikeita ruokia. Han tykkaa maisista, herneista, lohesta, kalkkunasta, ja taysjyva pastasta. Elias on myos oppinut kiipeemaan meidan portaita ylos. Elias myos tykkaa kayda kylvyssa ("polskun polskun")Han omineen laittaa naaman vetteen ja yrittaa juoda! Elias tayttaa 10 kuukautta keskiviikkona. En voi uskoa etta kahden kuukauden paasta meidan pikku ukko tayttaa vuoden!
Maya started Rhythm and Movement Dance Class on Saturday. She will have class from noon-1pm every Saturday until May! She got to wear her "pretty little Princess" dance outfit. They played and Maya had a great time! Maya is 3 1/2 years old today!
Maya aloitti tanssikoulun lauantaina. Hanen koulu on joka lauantai klo 12.00-13.00 toukokuuhun asti. Maya sai laittaa prinsessa asun ja nautti kovasti tanssimisesta! Maya taytti 3 1/2 vuotta tanaan!
Well, we made it home safe and sound from Finland.Traveling back was a hassle with the new security restrictions and I got angry luckily only once.The kids again did great on the flights.People were complementing us on how well behaved our kids were on the plane!Jet lag for Elias was the worst.It lasted about 10 days and now he has finally adjusted to the 11 hour time difference.We took his pacifier away about 3 days ago.Daytime is fine but I think he misses it at night and cries some.But I’m hoping he will forget about his pacifiers soon.Elias has also in the past 2 weeks gotten 3 teeth!He now has 7!He is still crawling all over and once we got home he figured out how to climb up the stairs.Luckily we have a baby gate that we put up at the bottom of the stairs.
Maya is doing well.She can spell her name and she can spell MAMMA!She asks every day if she can go to her Mamma’s house ( we are going for a visit next month) or if it’s her birthday and when will she be 4.She is really wanting to be a four year old for some reason.Maya will be starting a Rhythm and Motion dance class next Saturday.It is a 1 hour class once a week at the local community college and it will last all spring.She is very excited about it!And if she is at all like her Mamma and Pappa, then she will be a great dancer!
This weekend is the Kuskokwim 300 Dog Sled Race.Today the radio forcast said it was -64F.I feel bad for the dogs and the mushers having to be out in this cold!

No, paastiin kotiin turvallisesti Suomesta.Matkustaminen takaisin USaan oli hankalampi kun oli niita uusi turvatarkastuksia mutta kaikki meni hyvin.Hermostuin VAAN yhdesti.Lapset olivat taas tosi kiltisti lennoilla.Ihmiset kehuivat mitten kiltteja olivat!AIka ero oli pahin Eliakselle.Kesti varmaan 10 paivaa ennenkun poika paasi rytmista taas kiinni.Otimme Eliakselta tutin 3 paivaa sitten.On mennyt ihan hyvin paivalla mutta yolla tuntuu etta han kaipaa sita ja itkee vahasen.Toivon etta pian han unohtaa kokonaan tutit!Eliakselle tuli myos 3 lisaa hammasta!Elkulla on nyt 7!Han konttailee joka paikkaan ja myos hoksasi kun tulimme kotiin etta han osaa myos portaita kiiveta.Baby aita on pystyssa aina!
Mayalla menee hyvin.Han osaa kirjoittaa MAYA ja MAMMA!Han kysyy joka paiva etta voisko han menna Mammam luo.Ollaan menossa siella kaymaan ens kuussa.Maya myos kysyy jokapaiva jos tanaan vois olla hane birthday ja voisko han tanaan jo tayttaa 4 vuotta.Se 4 vuotta on jostain syysta kova juttu Mayalle!Maya aloittaa ens lauantaina tanssi koulun.Se kestaa tunnin ja on joka lauantai aamuna.Maya on niin innoissaan siita tanssikoulusta!Ja jos Mamman ja Papan geenis loytyis, Mayasta varmaan tulee hyva tanssija.
